Benefits

Your IDNYC card is a broadly accepted, official form of identification. IDNYC is accepted:

• By City agencies to access many services and programs;

• By NYPD for the purposes of issuing summons or desk appearance tickets instead of arrest;

• For entry into public buildings, like schools;

• For taking the high school equivalency exam in New York City;

• By employers, when submitted with proof of work authorization.

In 2017 IDNYC cardholders can receive 15% off any course purchased through CourseHorse.com for a maximum discount of $50 per class.

Baruch Performing Arts Center (BPAC)

In 2017 get exclusive discounts including, 15% off on all BPAC productions, special discounts on concessions items, $10 rush tickets on the day of the performance, invitations to members-only free events, and more!

Chelsea Film Festival (CFF)

IDNYC cardholders will receive discounts on CFF memberships, festival passes and more!

Museums and Cultural Institutions

IDNYC welcomes 11 new cultural partners, providing cardholders with access to over 35 cultural institutions in all five boroughs. View the 2017 list of museums and cultural institutions offering free one-year memberships to IDNYC cardholders!

With your IDNYC Card you may be eligible for a one-year free membership package over 35 of the City's leading cultural institutions, including world class museums, performing arts centers, concert halls, botanical gardens, and zoos in all five boroughs. These membership packages are comparable to each institution's standard one-year membership package and will give IDNYC card holders a range of benefits including free or discounted admission, access to special events, and discounts to museum shops and neighborhood businesses.

Brooklyn Sports and Entertainment

Save up to 25% off on tickets to select Barclays Center events, including world championship boxing, family shows and college basketball, as well as Brooklyn Nets and New York Islanders games.

Modell's Sporting Goods

At New York City Modell's Sporting Goods locations, IDNYC cardholders can now receive 10% off in store purchases (some exclusions apply).

Libraries

You will be able to use your IDNYC card at any public library in New York. The card can be integrated with your account at the New York, Brooklyn, and Queens Public Library Systems. For more information, including links to help you find a library branch near you, click here.

Prescription Drug Discounts

Fitness and Health Centers

These fitness and health center benefits will help you lead an active and healthy lifestyle.

New York City Parks Department

Adults age 25-61 receive a 10% discount off annual and six-month NYC Parks Recreation Center memberships at any of Parks’ 35 neighborhood recreation centers.

YMCA

With your IDNYC card, you will receive access to Y Roads young adult centers and New Americans Welcome Centers, which offer adult literacy programs. You will also receive 15% off of family and adult memberships at all 22 YMCA centers citywide. This discount is not available to IDNYC cardholders who have had a YMCA of Greater New York membership within the last twelve months.

Citi Bike

With your IDNYC card you will save 15% on your annual Citi Bike membership during your first year as a new Citi Bike member.

New York Road Runners

Cardholders can now receive a complimentary New York Road Runners first-year membership.

Supermarket Discounts at Food Bazaar

You will receive a 5% discount off all purchases at Food Bazaar supermarkets in New York City on weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 7:00am to 7:00pm. **Some exclusions apply.** To get the discount, simply show your IDNYC card at checkout.

Veteran Designation Benefits

In addition to the robust and exciting benefits package that comes with being an IDNYC cardholder, Veterans receive additional exclusive benefits with the Veterans Designation, including easy access to veteran-specific job placement and entrepreneurship services at the NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS), including Workforce 1 and the Veteran’s Entrepreneurship Program; discounted membership in Veterans Advantage, which offers military discounts from national retailers and travel providers, including Amtrak, United, JetBlue, Greyhound, CVS, Office Depot, Foot Locker, and more; and discounts at businesses affiliated with the Queens Chamber of Commerce's Queens VETS Program. Animal Care Centers of New York

IDNYC cardholders will receive $25 off adoption fees for cats, dogs and rabbits at the Animal Care Centers of New York. These fees normally range from $50-$100. ACC adoptions include vaccinations, a microchip, spay/neuter, a free office visit at a participating veterinarian and a free identification tag. Animals available for adoption can be
