Hi there! I'm Emarilix Lopez, Principal and founding member of The Metropolitan Soundview High School. Starting this school has been the accomplishment of a life-long dream to establish a school committed to supporting Bronx students to reach academic and personal success. I have worked in New York City public schools for 16 years as a teacher of American History, English as a New Language, Assistant Principal and Principal. We're a young school doing mighty great things as a result of having a highly collaborative staff. We are able to provide our students with the experience of attending a large school with the personalization of a small learning community.
